How to Recover Your Skin after the Holidays

As fun as the holidays are, the season can be really hard on your body and your skin. Traveling, back to back parties, delicious food and little sleep can all take a toll on your complexion. After the holidays, give your skin the love and attention it deserves!

It's really important to make sure your body is getting all the nutrients it needs, this will help flush out any toxins and boost your immune system. I always drink 8 glasses of water a day- I mix it between sparking water and still so I don't get bored with it. If you want to recover your pre-holiday glow get yourself back on a consistent sleep schedule, it's something that's very overlooked but makes a huge difference in the appearance of your skin.

Every once in a while I take it easy on the weekend and give my skin a couple days to let my skin breathe and wear very little to no makeup. Also hydration is key this time of year, the cold weather can make your skin extra dry, so I love using the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration moisturizer over my serum. I linked a few other of my favorite post-holiday, perfect-for-winter moisturizers below:

It's also important to get your skin back into the swing of things by revisiting your regular routine. I use a mask once or twice a week depending on my schedule. Lately I've been loving Tata Harper Clarifying Mask and REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask. I always bring the Laniege Water Pocket Sheet Mask with me on a flight as well or whenever I'm needing an extra boost of hydration and I have a little time to spare. Below are a few other of my favorite masks:

Revitalize your skin with a serum! I'm a HUGE advocate for serums, I use them morning and night under my moisturizer and they've made a huge impact on my skin. It basically adds moisture and goes deeper than a regular moisturizer. Lately I can't get enough of Vintner's Daughter and Skin Inc. My Daily Dose of Glow. Here's a few others I love as well:

Thank you so much for these great recommendations! I agree – the holiday season really can take a toll on your skin, especially because of the sleeping schedule! Can’t wait to try the masks! <3 :)
