Looking Forward to Paris Fashion Week

I have been busy prepping for both New York Fashion Week and although NY is always exciting, I'm especially looking forward to my third season at Paris Fashion Week! I always get so inspired during this time and previewing all the upcoming collections. That being said, I thought it would be fun to recap the items I saw during February that are now current for the season and available online. I've recapped below a few of my highlights from last season as well as the links to current pieces I'm seriously loving!

This season, I will be doing daily recaps on the blog sharing the shows/presentations I attended, what I wore, and upcoming trends I love. So, stay tuned and be sure to follow along on my blog, Instagram and YouTube :)

Koché Show

This was the first show I attended last year and literally changed right after we landed in Paris! The show was held at this really cool, classic theatre- Folies Bergère.

The collection contrasted with the venue and I loved the pops or red, pink and stripes.

Below are some pieces from Koché I am currently loving:

– Embellished Lace Blouse

– Lace-Trimmed Silk Blouse

– Lace-Trimmed Satin Cami

Tommy Hilfiger x Gigi Hadid Event

Tommy Hilfiger x Gigi Hadid event was so much fun! Gigi made an appearance and looked amazing as always. She wore her hair in a high pony tail, which am very excited to try this season.

Since Tommy Hilfiger is such a classic brand, I loved how the collection had a CA vibe but still maintained the classic red, navy and white colors. The collection mixed sporty and casual. I also loved all the denim :)

Check out my favorite pieces from last season (they are currently on sale too!):

– Leather Mini Skirt

– Print Dress

christian louboutin paris fashion week
Christian Louboutin

Christian Louboutin had a beautiful presentation. They even had a customized coffee bar called “Loub Au Lait,” how fun!

The collection was filled with pointed toe boots and statement flats. They had these amazing moto boots that had a rocker vibe and even bejeweled platforms.

My current favorites for fall include:

– Viyonce

– Monana Flat

– Chasse A Clou (love the embellishment)

pierre hardy paris fashion week
Pierre Hardy

Pierre Hardy showcased his Atelier line for the 2nd time during Paris Fashion Week. The collection was influenced by sci-fi and the shoes and handbags all coordinated.

I thought the contrasting materials and geometric patterns on the boots were so cool! All the pieces were very embellished with cutouts and various materials, the collection had a very retro vibe as well. The shoes were showcased to act like a “second skin,” so all the shoes were very form fitting.

Shop my favorite pieces:

Penny Bucket Bag

Jacno Illusion Suede Mules

Alpha Crossbody Bag

The Rochas show was so elegant, which featured many evening wear looks. The collection had a retro vibe and I loved how the

Rochas “R” was very apparent throughout the collection. Many of the dresses featured brooches and there was this red fur coat cinched with a belt. It would be perfect for a cool, fall evening :)

My favorite pieces from the collection included:

Belted Collarless Shearling Coat

Crystal-Fly Brooch

Bee-Embellished Wool Sweater

H&M Show

The H&M Spring see-now-buy-now was a fun show to attend! I love H&M and they always have such fashion forward pieces at affordable prices. The collection had a mix of athleisure, while the color palette was mainly black, pink, white and olive. The Weeknd even came out for a performance at the end, the show basically turned into a concert. It was so fun!

Below are some fall pieces I am loving from H&M:

Faux Fur Jacket

Blouse with Studs

Patent Skirt

The Cartier preview was held at a loft-style apartment at the Hôtel de Pourtalès. Cartier showcased their new spring 2017 collection of jewelry, watches and accessories.

The collection was very edgy and inspired by rock and roll. I loved how they decorated the loft to look and feel like a recording studio. I thought the Cactus jewelry line was so beautiful, all the jewelry pieces were inspired by a cactus-flower (I'm wearing a few of the pieces from the collection in my post HERE)

Upstairs they even recreated a musician’s dressing room with Cartier’s new Ecrou collection and pieces from the Juste un Clou collection (the iconic “nail” pieces).

My favorite pieces from Cactus De Cartier::

– Cactus de Cartier Necklace

– Cactus de Cartier Earrings

– Cactus de Cartier Band

I loved the various shades of colors at the Carven presentation. Each piece perfect on it's own or with the jacket from the same color family.  Magnolia flower petals also inspired draped sleeves, pleats and a black and white abstract floral print. The collection felt very fresh and tailored and I loved the pink and nudes that were used.

Shop my favorite pieces:

Long Sleeve Pullover (love the light pink color)

Houndstooth Mini Skirt

Odeon Chelsea Boots

Off-White has been one of my favorite brands to watch grow. The runway was designed to look like a dark forest with smoky lights, dried leaves and branches. The designs for this season were based off the phrase “nothing new.” The clothes were very sophisticated but still feminine. I loved the tailored plaid jackets and pencil skirts. I felt like this collection was a completely different vibe for Off-White but the clothes were refreshing for the upcoming fall season- the energy at the show was amazing!

My current favorite pieces include:

Textured-Leather Shoulder Bag

Hiking Suede Boots

– Open Back Mini Dress

Issey Miyake Show

The Issey Miyake runway show took place at the Hôtel de Ville. The collection was inspired by the Northern Lights. Any pieces that had wool fabric changed color according to the point of view. The pieces shimmered down the runway on the models.

The collection contained darker colors and heavier fabrics. I loved how fabrics had different colored threads, it created unusual patterns that changed as the models walked and moved in the clothes.

Check out my favorite pieces from last season:

Iris Zigzag Pleated Dress

Gray Radial A-Poc Top

Neptune Pleated Midi Skirt

Redemption Show

The fall collection for Redemption was inspired by the Women’s Marches, rebellion and punk. It was a very edgy collection and made many references to the military. Cargo pants, khakis, tailcoats and biker boats were stand out pieces in the collection.

During the finale, each model wore a bandana and a grunge inspired t-shirt that said “God save the drama queen,” it was so cool!

Shop my favorite pieces from the collection:

Ruffled Dots Silk Blend Shirt

God Save The Drama Queen T-shirt

Satin Shirt

Nina Ricci

The Nina Ricci show took place at the Grand Palais. The collection had a very elegant, bold vibe to it.

The collection color scheme was very pastel, making the clothes seem so whimsical. There were an array of browns and neutrals while also pops of a gorgeous pink!

My current favorites include:

Polka-Dot Tulle Dress

Lace-Insert Crinkled-Taffeta Shirt

Camel Coat

Sonia Rykiel

When I arrived to the Sonia Rykiel show, I saw a huge silver heart sculpture that the models would be walking under and colorful large lanterns also hung from the ceiling. The set was beyond creative and I didn't know exactly what to expect. Feathers, embroidery and raw stitches were some major details from the show.

I loved the gypsy dresses, knits and suits from the collection. The clothes were very vibrant and moved romantically. The collection had a bohemian but still professional spirit.

Here are my favorites from the current collection:

Checked Pants

Ruffled Midi Dress

Logo Sweater

Akris Show

“A Woman in a Coat With a Bag.” This was the title of the Akris RTW fall collection. The runway show provided to be filled with those two essentials items in every woman's closet: a coat and a bag.

The collection had coats for every occasion offered in a variety of fabrics. Many of the bags were large boat shaped and some cross-body messenger bags. The clothes were very feminine with a touch of glamour, however the coats in my eyes were the main attraction!

Here are my favorites from the current collection:

Cutout Cashmere and Silk Sweater

Cashmere and Leather Bomber Jacket

Leather Satchel

Roger Vivier

The Roger Vivier presentation was unlike anything I had ever seen before! Upon arrival, I was greeted by 100 dancing shoes and swinging clutches. It was an audio-visual installation projected on a large cube and it was amazing!

The entire space was blush with black and white carpeted corridors. I loved all the beautiful embroidered patterns on the boots, jeweled buckles (they're signature) and statement heels.

Here are my current favorites from this season:

Embellished Flats

Embellished Sneakers

Embellished Mules: As seen on me HERE

Esteban Cortazar

The Esteban Cortazar collection played with a variety of patterns. Many of the outfits had multiple layers mixed with various prints. The designer even added archived pieces to the collection, which I thought was really cool!

Here are my favorites from the current season:

Striped Sweater

Satin Inset Dress

Asymmetrical Top

Paul & Joe Show

I ended Paris Fashion Week with the Paul & Joe show. I really liked this collection and could see myself wearing so many of the pieces. The collection was inspired by streetwear and rock.

I loved all the different fabric textures used throughout, all the clothing were extremely luxurious yet still had an urban vibe. I especially loved the tracksuits from the collection!

Here are my current favorites:

Shearling Coat

Lace Up Sweater

Satin Blouse
