My Summer Travel Checklist

Summer is finally in full effect! I wanted to share my summer travel checklist, as sometimes packing can be extremely stressful. Before I even start packing, I tend to have outfits already created in my head. There is nothing worse than staring at an empty suitcase, having no idea where to start. I find that packing outfits makes getting ready while on vacation so much easier. The last thing I want to do is stress about what I should wear each day! Even when I help Jadyn pack we create outfits so each day she will have an idea of what to wear. So far, I have traveled to Cuba, Paris, Rome and the Amalfi Coast this summer. When I created this summer travel checklist, I got inspiration from some of the outfits I wore while vacationing. Many of these items have proven to be summer staples and are perfect for traveling.

My Summer Travel Checklist

βœ“ MATCHING SET:

I brought a matching set to Cuba and it was perfect for the tropical climate and they are so fun and easy to wear. I love THIS, THIS and THIS set.

βœ“ ROMPER:

Rompers are essential for summer, I love wearing them out and about. They pack easily and usually the material is lightweight and airy for the summer heat. I wore THIS in Cuba and THIS is a great summer piece.

βœ“ DENIM SKIRT:

I lived in THIS denim skirt and THIS in Paris. You can dress a denim skirt up or down which is always perfect for when on vacation.

βœ“ DENIM SHORTS:

THESE denim shorts are a favorite of mine! You can never go wrong with shorts for summer πŸ™‚

βœ“ LIGHTWEIGHT BLOUSE:

You probably saw THIS top on my Instagram, lightweight blouses pack great and are comfortable to wear on hot days. THIS is also a favorite of mine.

βœ“ OFF THE SHOULDER TOP:

The off the shoulder trend is pretty much the #1 summer trend, but beware your shoulders may get sun so don’t forget the sunscreen πŸ™‚ I wore THIS top in Cuba and THIS is another trendy option.

βœ“ SMALL BACKPACK:

While traveling around Europe, I found that carrying a backpack was so much easier than carrying a bag. THIS backpack was great for the plane and THIS small backpack is the perfect substitute for a purse.

βœ“ CROSSBODY BAG:

I used THIS small bag a lot while exploring Europe. A small crossbody bag like THIS or THIS is great for summer. Sometimes a big purse can get heavy especially if you are carrying it around all day.

βœ“ SUNNIES:

Sunglasses are a vacation MUST! I typically pack 1-3 pairs and alternate depending on my outfit. If you follow me on Instagram, I typically wear THESE a lot! I also love to pack fun cat-eye sunglasses like THESE.

βœ“ LACE UP SANDALS:

In Cuba, for most of the trip I wore lace up/gladiator sandals. Lace up sandals go with pretty much any summer outfit so I make sure to always pack them. THESE, THESE or THESE are great options.

βœ“ SNEAKERS:

We did a TON of walking in Paris and Rome, so I made sure to pack THESE sneakers. Comfortable shoes are important to bring and they even look cute paired with a dress or skirt. A classic white pair like THESE are a less expensive version πŸ™‚

βœ“ STATEMENT EARRINGS:

I have been very into the statement earring trend, I listed my top five picks HERE in a recent blog post. I tend to not pack a ton of accessories when I travel. Earrings take up hardly any room in a suitcase and can add to any look.

βœ“ SWIMSUIT:

Depending on where you are traveling for summer you may or may not need to pack a swimsuit. We had a pool day in Cuba and a few beach days in Amalfi. I wore THIS and THIS swimsuit while on vacation.

Comment below where you plan on vacationing this summer, and be sure to check out my summer travel checklist!
