Paris Fashion Week Day 7

On day 7, I attended two presentations by two of my favorite shoe designers. I went to their presentations last season and they always have really innovative/creative themes, and this season was even more amazing :) The highlight of my day was probably the Esteban Cortazar show at night. I was excited to attend because he is known for taking his audience on a style-guided tour of his collection.

Check out everything I did on day 7:

Leonard Paris Runway Show:

My first show of the day was Leonard Paris. The brand is known for their innovative designs and master craftsmanship. The runway show was held at the Pavillon Ledoyen, which holds one of the oldest restaurants in Paris.

Leonard's Spring/Summer '18 collection was inspired by nature and nurture, instinct and education, control and pleasure. The opposition of the designs all paired beautifully together. The show opened up with masculine tailoring, jackets and raincoats. White, stripes and floral prints were a few of the standout trends. I loved all of the sequined blazers!

The orchid was a main symbol of the collection and was printed on a few of the pieces. I also loved the metallic prints used and jewelry made out of large pearls.

Although the collection isn't available until next season, here are my current favorites that are available now:

Straight Long Coat

Ulysse Handbag

Short Down Jacket

What I Wore:

Inspired by the bright colors on the runway yesterday, I decided to add a pop of color to my outfit today. I added this bright oversized sweater over a dress. I liked how the bright red contrasted with the plaid. Because my sweater was short, I liked how the thigh high boots looked, they are such a Fall staple!

Shop my look below:

Dress: ZARA (sold out, similar HERE and HERE)

Sweater: ZARA

Sunglasses: QUAY

Handbag: VALENTINO

Boots: RIVER ISLAND

Christian Louboutin Presentation:

After the show, I headed to the Christian Louboutin presentation! Right as I walked in, I felt like I was in a whimsical different universe. The set up was designed based on Christian's strong passion for film. He designed the collection for a cast of characters and throughout there were various sets.

One of the first collections I noticed, were the iconic nudes collection but updated with PVC and crystals. The revamped shoe launches in March and features seven different skin tones. Another mini collection was inspired by Christian's hand writing. Whenever he does personal appearances, he signs the shoe and writes a quote. The collection featured shoes and bags with signatures, quotes and even hand embroidered beading on some of the bags. The designer is also introducing a new handbag shape called Ruby Lou. The bag is inspired by the women's waist line and after a Ruby because Christian is an avid stone collector. Some of my favorite themes and trends throughout the collection were hand painted florals, Art Deco inspired heels, patent leather with African dip dye and Marie Antoinette vibes.

Although the collection isn't available until next season, here are my current favorites that are available now:

Pigalle Follies Kitten-Heel Pumps

Octavian Patent Leather Loafers

Leather Chelsea Boots

Roger Vivier Presentation:

After Louboutin I headed to another favorite handbag/shoe line of mine, Roger Vivier. Upon entering the presentation, a large signature red shoe box greeted me! It sounds crazy lol but it was a HUGE shoe box in the middle of the room. The theme of the presentation was to “think inside the box”, and the presentation was setup within the massive shoe box- so cool!

Once inside, the walls of the shoe box were made up of small shoe boxes. It took 12,000 shoe boxes to make up the space! The collection was inspired by Roger Vivier's iconic codes but integrating them into new designs. The Choc heel was the main shoe of the season. I loved the iconic Roger Vivier signature in script embossed on the Mule Choc and on many of the shoes. I was obsessed with their new white sneakers! The brand added new fabrics to the Viv' Cabas bag including raffia and leather stripes so cute!

Although the collection isn't available until next season, here are my current favorites that are available now:

Crystal-Embellished Striped Satin Slingback Pumps

Sneaky Viv Embellished Satin Slip-On Sneakers

Flower Strass Buckle Satin Point Toe Pumps

Longchamp Presentation:

Next, I headed over to the Longchamp presentation. I was able to preview their new line of sunglasses, which are going to launch soon. One pair of  the sunglasses were inspired by the iconic Le Pliage bag and fold up to mimic the bag. I then headed over to look at the upcoming bags and shoes (my favorite!). The first part of the collection was inspired by tribal art along with a safari. The safari theme contrasted well with the pastel colors used. Longchamp is also introducing a new bag style with horsebit detailing and adjustable straps, it's such a beautiful bag!

The Mademoiselle bag is definitely one of my favorites for the season. They're introducing new colorways, so stay tuned :) The brand is also introducing tricolor bags which is exciting!

The brand's RTW collection contained long dresses and fresh new silhouettes. I loved all the flowly/airy pieces.

Although the collection isn't available until next season, here are my current favorites that are available now:

Le Pliage Leather Backpack

Mademoiselle Leather Crossbody

Pénélope Arty

CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Americans in Paris:

Next I attended the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Americans in Paris presentation. Americans in Paris is an initiative of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and was created as a global showcase for emerging American designers at Paris Fashion Week! It was super cool to see some of my favorite LA/NY based designers at PFW.

One of my favorite designers, Adam Selman was featured at the showcase. He is a relatively new designer and only started about 4 years ago but is known for dressing Katy Perry, Lorde and even Rihanna. I'm sure you have probably seen some of his AMAZING sunglasses! I was able to meet him and preview his 8th collection- and loved the denim and knits within the collection.

Check out some of my favorite Adam Selman pieces below:

The Fugitive Cat-Eye Mirrored Sunglasses

Overall Dress

Cropped Work Jacket

I also got to preview another favorite designer of mine, Brock Collection. They're based in LA and created by a husband and wife. They met at Parson's and together, created a romantic yet whimsical line. The brand focuses on the craft and tailoring of each piece. Charming is the perfect word to describe the collection. I loved the cherry embroidery, so fun!

Check out some of my favorite Brock Collection pieces below:

Tavi Top

Danika Midi Dress

Demi Floral-Print Cotton Dress

Tod’s "Sella" Cocktail Party:

I attended the Tod’s “Sella” Cocktail Party held at their Paris flagship on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The party introduced various models of its new Sella bag. The bag was inspired by a saddle and leather studded cutouts of horse figures were featured throughout the party. The party was very equestrian-themed and Naomi Campbell attended!

Check out a few of my favorite Sella bags below, I love the mini size!

Mini Sella Bag (white/black)

Small Sella Bag (pink)

Medium Sella Bag (black)

Esteban Cortazar Runway Show:

My final show of the day was the Esteban Cortazar runway show. This was one of my favorite shows of PFW. The collection was inspired by tropical South America but had a futuristic vibe. The designer was inspired by collaging together different ideas and seeing what other shapes and silhouettes could be created.

I loved all the layering within the collection. I thought the sculpted dresses and chunky  knits with chiffon panels were so beautiful. The outfits were very abstract but still wearable.

Although the collection isn't available until next season, here are my current favorites that are available now:

Long Sleeve Sweater

Flared Dress

Satin Mini Dress

The black high kneee boots you are wearing in your last post of the red Zara sweater are not the same as the tagged dolce vita boots. The boots you are wearing have a completely different heel. I am really interested in purchasing your boots, may you tag the correct place to get them?
